Auschwitz one of the Nazi German concentration camp together with Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp are one of the most recognizable symbols of the Holocaust in the world. Not to forget these terrifying and tragical years of European history and learn from the mistakes it is good to visit such places. Auschwitz-Birkenau areal and museum share all the details and stories from the Second World War, definitely something worth seeing.

During this trip, we´ll also explore the beauties of Poland. We will visit the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland – Krakow – and amazing Wieliczka Salt Mine. Krakow’s Old Town, along with Wawel Castle and the city’s Kazimierz district were placed along with only 11 other historical sites in the world on the First World Heritage List, created by UNESCO in 1978. Wieliczka Salt Mine, also on the list of UNESCO World Heritage List, reaches a depth of 327 meters and is over 287 kilometres. It is also referred to as the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland with many sculptures and chambers made by the miners who worked there.

On our way to Auschwitz (on Saturday) we will do stop for lunch and short individiual visit in Ostrava city center. Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic. You will have option to see old town and also visit the Czech Republic’s highest city hall tower! Just above its four-faced clock is a viewing platform with a height of 73 metres above ground level.
